The same evening the entourage of saints departed for Mussoorie after the conclusion of the programme at Chamba. A large number of devotees from Mussoorie, Dehradun as well as Delhi were present at Mussoorie Satsang Bhawan to accord Baba Ji and other saints a loving welcome. Devotees’ obeisance at Baba Ji’s holy feet continued till late at night amidst much joyful singing and dancing. Next day on June 11, 2008, blessing a congregation in the evening His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj stated;
“Devotees created a beautiful atmosphere with their devotion and beautiful feelings at every place I visited during the tour and conveyed the message that the beauty of mind helps create a beautiful atmosphere and makes man a blessing for all; the same atmosphere has been created here too.
Irrespective of the area they live in, devotees lead their life in a selfless manner while giving utmost credence to God-Formless in their life. Bulleh Shah too, asked man to efface his sense of ‘I’ to Know he is ‘That’ whose Name he recites. But man is not ready to efface his ‘I’. Saints ask man to efface his sense of ‘doership’ and consider God as the ‘Doer’ but man under the influence of ego considers himself the ‘doer’.
Devotees, on the other hand, look upon God Formless as their ‘Nurturer’ and give Him the loftiest place in their life; such ones become lofty themselves. Power, wealth, intellectual prowess cannot gain man loftiness; Ravana had much power yet he is not considered lofty. Only those are lofty who give credence not to themselves but God for all their accomplishments and make their positive use.
Devotees remember God every moment of their life; even a few moments’ loss of God-Awareness makes them as restless as a fish out of water! When not in God-awareness, a devotee has every chance of falling prey to innumerable negative feelings and restlessness of mind.
Though hued in the hue of God-Formless to every pore of his body, yet a devotee feels that he has not remembered and glorified God enough! He feels that his two eyes are not enough to See, every pore on his body should become an eye so that he may see God with every pore. Such is the state in which a devotee lives his life; he performs all his worldly chores and responsibilities while in a state of bliss. Saint Kabir asked man to remember God in a manner as maidens fetch water from the well in a vessel on top of their head; they talk, laugh and play pranks with each other while carrying the vessel of water on their head and walking on an uneven pathway and yet do not let even a drop of water spill! Similarly a devotee lives and performs all his duties in the world but does not lose God-awareness even for a moment. Kabir Ji himself remembered God every moment and asked others too, to do the same. Living in such a manner a devotee remains ever-blissful.
By keeping his attention constantly focused upon God, a devotee forgets his own sense of ‘I’. God-awareness helps a devotee control his mind which otherwise remains as restlessness as a monkey. May God bless so that all tread the path of devotion and make their life blissful.”
Next day on June 12, 2008, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj departed for Yamunanagar to see and visit Rev. Amrit Kaur Ji, the ailing mother of Pujya Mata Savinder Kaur Ji, who had been pronounced critical. The same afternoon she passed away. Next day on June 13, 2008, His Holiness attended the cremation of Mata Amrit Kaur Ji and gave his much needed love and consolation to all the family members during such a difficult time. On June 14, 2008, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj along with Pujya Mata Savinder Kaur Ji and other saints reached back Delhi at 4.00 p.m.
Thus culminated the 17 day tour of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj. Along with various towns and cities, Baba Ji also blessed may Satsang Bhawans and homes of devotees during the tour. Maximum number of places visited during the tour were such which were visited for the first time by Baba Ji.
