On July 23, 2008, a congregation was organized by the joint effort of different religious organizations at Greece in which Sri Guru Ravidas Sabha, Ambekdar Mission, various Hindu Organisations, local church and a large number of devotees participated. The arrival of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj and Pujya Mata Savinder Kaur Ji to the venue of congregation took the form of almost a mini procession. A group of devotees dancing ‘Bhangra’ (Punjab’s folk dance) to drum-beats, accompanied the open car in which Baba Ji and Mata Ji stood and distributed loving smiles to devotees standing on both sides of the road. Blessing the congregation later, His Holiness stated;
“The fragrant life of devotees who live a life based upon Truth renders beauty to whichever place they inhabit. Precious human birth is a chance when the soul attains a human body and a chance to attain Salvation. To recite and remember the Name of God is indeed lofty, yet the True Purpose of human life lies in Realising the All-Pervasive God. That is why all the saints, sages, Gurus and prophets gave man the message of God-Realisation.”
On July 25, 2008 His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj inaugurated a Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan at Virona, Italy. Prior to the inauguration, the Mayor of the city welcomed Baba Ji and Mata Ji at his office. Mayors of neighbouring cities as well as many government and non-government officials too, were present. Member of various religious organizations represented by Inter-Faith accorded Baba Ji a warm welcome. The Mayor of the city as well as representatives of different organisations appreciated the efforts of Sant Nirankari Mission. The speeches of various speakers as well as the discourse by Baba Ji were translated in English and Italian side by side. In His blessings His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj stated:
“Devotees live a devoted life while respecting the law and culture of the place they inhabit. A life lived while based upon the knowledge of One after knowing it becomes fruitful for oneself as well as the society.” After the conclusion of the programme, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj accompanied by the Hon'ble Mayor stood for a while on the gallery of the Mayor's office and gave his love and blessings to all those who were present. The atmosphere reverberated with the proclamations of Dhan Nirankar.
On July 26, 2008 His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Pujya Mata Savinder Ji and other saints reached U.K. A large number of devotees and Sant Nirankari Mandal officials were present at Gatwick Airport to accord them a loving and warm welcome. From the Airport, His Holiness reached Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, London and inaugurated a newly constructed hall, constructed in a record time of three months and with the effort and selfless service of devotee saints. Along with reporting for their respective jobs, looking after their business, devotees worked tirelessly day and night for three months to complete the construction of the hall.
The same day the devotees had organised a procession to accord the entourage a warm and loving welcome. Groups of devotees while singing and dancing to the tune of devotional compositions kept passing by, while receiving the smiles and love of the holy couple seated on a decorated carriage. The officials of Sant Nirankari mandal welcomed Baba Ji and Pujya Mata Ji with bouquets of flowers. Banners as high as 30 feet outside the Satsang Bhawan displayed the message of the Mission to all. A huge balloon flying in the air in the shape of a ship and visible from even a distance of few miles, also highlighted the message of the Mission. Devotees from Brazil, China, Africa besides Greece and U.K. represented their respective cultures and yet gave the message of love, Truth and unity despite the diversity. Later the same day, blessing the mammoth welcome congregation, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj stated:
“The love and increasing enthusiasm of devotees living in Baharin, Greece, Italy and U.K. as experienced during my present tour gives immense happiness. The feelings of devotees, wherever I get a chance to meet them, are the same. Whenever I see and meet some devotees for the first time in a congregation, I feel extremely happy; it is because of the selfless effort of saints that the number of devotees in increasing. May God Formless bless so that the enthusiasm of devotees in creases further.”
On July 27, 2008 blessing a congregation at West Midlands, His Holiness Baba Hardev Sing Ji Maharaj stated:
“Diversity is a gift of God as it renders beauty. Man should not create difference discrimination and antagonism on account of diversity; rather every man should remain alert so that he does not get entangled in the same. Different cultures, civilizations, eating and clothing habits etc. are only different ways of living; different languages are meant only for speaking, hearing and understanding and not creating distance and rift between man and man. Man should forsake narrow-mindedness, adopt large-heartedness and live in brotherhood with all.
The message contained within all the holy scriptures whether it is Ramayana, Geeta, Quran or Bible is One; all the scriptures though written in different languages, glorify Truth. Man today has got entangled with rites and rituals but become oblivious of Truth. Enslaved by ignorance man sows the seeds of hatred on account of the differences of caste, creed, culture, religion, language etc. and creates dissent and distance between man and man. He does not hesitate to malign even the names of Enlightened saints and sages to give relevance to his words! The ignorant man does not realise that by doing so he in fact does much harm than good to the religion he professes to practice! None of the saints sages, Gurus or prophets taught hatred to man. All of them taught the lesson of love, humility and compassion. It is by strengthening spirituality in man that religion can be strengthened and man can be truly religious.
The earth can be made beautiful not with beautiful buildings but with beautiful feelings and actions. Man's life becomes truly beautiful when he gets linked with Truth and lives a life based upon it. The knowledge of Truth makes man a well-wisher of all; such a one does not harm anyone; such a one erases all the walls of difference and discrimination and lives in love and brotherhood and thus creates a heaven upon earth.”
Devotees listened with rapt attention to every word His Holiness spoke. Seekers and devotees from Afganistan, Iraq, Brazil, Spain etc. also attended the programme.
