OVERSEAS SALVATION TOUR BY HIS HOLINESS
BABA HARDEV SINGH JI MAHARAJ

On August 1 and 2, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj blessed the city of Midland. On August 1, 2008, the wedding of Amit Ji, son of the well-known saint of U.K. Rev. Kulwant Singh Ji was solemnized in the holy presence of Baba Ji.  A large number saints had arrived from Calgary (Canada), Dubai, America, Europe to attend the same.  The Honourable Mayor of the area, Mr. Bob Price too, attended the wedding.

On August 2, 2008 another wedding of Jasbir Ji, the son of Ex-Mayor of Wolver Hampton, Tarsem Singh Ji was solemnized in the holy presence of Baba Ji at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan.  The wedding was also attended by the President of Ravidas Sabha U.K., its distinguished members of Committee as well as other eminent citizens.  All of them praised the efforts of Sant Nirankari Mission and also attained the blessings of His Holiness.

On August 3, 2008, a congregation was organized at Birmingham, London.  The Honourable Deputy Mayor of London, Richard Bares welcomed His Holiness on behalf of the citizens of the city and stated: “The citizens of London will indeed benefit from your message of love, peace and brotherhood.  I am present here to make my contribution for the same cause and indeed fortunate to have attained His Holiness’ blessings.”  Shri Anil Bhanot, the General Secretary of Hindu Council, U.K., too attended the congregation and attained Baba Ji’s blessings.  The 6-acre area, used as the venue for congregation was packed to its maximum capacity with devotees and public.  Blessing the congregation His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj stated;

“The world-scenario today, in whichever direction we cast a glance, appears gloomy and depressing.  Man has become oblivious to the aspect of humanity in his life.  As a result all his efforts to make this world beautiful are actually distorting the atmosphere of the world more and more.  It is by making his life beautiful with the human virtues of love, humility, tolerance, compassion, brotherhood etc. that man can make this world beautiful.  Science today has reached a conclusion that no other planet in the world is as beautiful as Earth and yet man is trying to make it more and more ugly with his actions!

The saints, on the other hand impart beauty and fragrance to the world; they cherish the welfare of all and remain constantly active for this noble and human cause.  It is for this noble cause that such Samagams or congregation are organised; so that the number of those who give beauty to the world increases.  Saints have always made an effort to awaken man and stop him from treading a path which harms him as well as the world.  It takes a long and arduous effort to beautify and revive whereas no time to destroy!

Man makes much effort to keep himself as well as his surroundings clean but does nothing to remove the dirt of ignorance which envelopes his soul since innumerable lives! The value of an object lies in realising its true value.  Similarly, human life is invaluable, but man does not realize it; he can realise its True value only when his soul gets linked with God.   Saints in all the ages have made an effort to awaken man towards Realising the True value of his human life” 

The same evening devotees got together once again to enjoy the congregation organised for the purpose of Mass Marriages of a few couples at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan.  Many years ago the simple ceremony of Mass Marriages was performed in the holy presence of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji at Satsang Bhawan Birmingham. Devotees were simply exhilarated when the same was performed once again after a gap of many years.
