On the 8th February
2009, the Secretary of the Sant Nirankari Mission (UK)
HS Bhatia Ji popularly known as Upashak Ji, was invited to a
meeting with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Gordon Brown.
The meeting was held in the West Midlands and Upashak Ji was
amongst numerous other members of the Community invited to this
event. Upashak Ji was introduced to Mr Brown and shared a few
words concerning the work of the Mission and Nirankari Baba
Hardev Singh Ji to promote peaceful co-existence and harmony
throughout the world. The Premier was pleased to hear of the
positive initiatives of the Mission and congratulated Upashak
Ji on this occasion, which was held to recognise the good work
of the Community in promoting cohesion in the West Midlands
region.
