Mumbai, June 14, 2009: On the occasion of the World Blood
Donors day, on 14th June 2009, Sant Nirankari Mandal organized several Blood
Donation Camps all over India.


In Mumbai two blood donation camps were organized, one at
Vile-Parle (E) and the other in J J Mahanagar Raktpedhi, Byculla. A larger
turnout was observed at both the camps, wherein 460 Nirankaris donated
blood.
At Vile-parle, V N Desai, Cooper, K J. Bhabha and Nair
hospitals, collected the blood. The camp was inaugurated by Kripashankarji,
Regional Head of the Mumbai Pradesh congress committee. Also present were Mr
Vinod Tawade, Maha Mantri, BJP (Maharashtra Pradesh) and Dr. Kavita Rege,
Principal, Sathye College.
At J J Hospital, Dr Damodar Nath, Medical Director Sir J
J Mahanagar Raktpedhi, inaugurated the camp.
Other than Mumbai camps were organized at Khanapur,
Tembhurni, Dombivli in the State of Maharashtra.
Prior to the inauguration a procession was taken out at
both the venues to create awareness for blood donation and emphasize it as
the noblest of all donations, as it can save the precious human life.
