Blood Donation Camp in
Mussoorie inaugurated by His Holiness
A blood Donation Camp was
organized in the Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Mussoorie in
Uttarakhand on May 23, 2009. It was inaugurated by His
Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj.
The devotees of the Mission
came forward with great enthusiasm and donated 525 units of
blood during the camp. Pujya Mata Sawinder Ji, the gracious
spouse of His Holiness was among the first donors. This
encouraged the devotees all the more to donate their blood.
Blessing the donors, Baba
Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that blood donation has already
become a mass movement with the devotees of the Mission.
They come forward to donate blood with the spirit of
devotion. Their number is increasing every year. Their
gesture is a sincere service to humanity.
Referring to the Mission’s
branch in Mussoorie, Baba Ji said that they have been
undertaking several kinds of social welfare activities in
the area from time to time. The local authorities and the
citizens have also been co-operating.
Among VIPs who visited the
camp were the local MLA Shri Jot Singh Gunsola, the Chairman
of the Municipal Committee Shri O.P Uniyal and the former
Chairman of the Municipal Committee Shri Manmohan Singh
Mall. They appreciated the Mission’s contribution towards
the welfare of the citizens in general and the donation of
blood in particular.
