"Human blood should flow in veins, not in drains", Bangalore
saints organized road shows on April 19, 2009 and a silent
march pass on April 25, 2009 at Lal Bagh (it is a well
known botanical garden in Bangalore, India) to spread the
awareness for blood donation and to encourage people to
donate blood for this good cause.

To spread the awareness
about the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on Human Unity Day,
saints organized road shows on April 19, 2009. The whole
idea was presented in form of a 5-minutes skit. The
languages used for the skit and various messages were
English, Hindi, and Kannada. The participants emphasized on
how we are killing each other and how deficient this world
is for love and peace.

They also emphasized how
blood donation helps us to establish blood relations among
masses and keeps us away from any kind of ego if it is
volunteered. The same show was repeated after every 10
minutes to spread the message to all kind of audience.
On April 26, 2009, again
the saints got together for a silent march pass at 5am. The
d two teams were formed, each team carrying mission's
banners and pamphlets, and posters from Red Cross Society to
encourage people to donate blood. Each team very humbly and
silently walked in the Lal Bagh talking to various people,
delivering mission’s literature and discussing about the
importance of Human Unity Day. In the end, local inhabitants
to whom the volunteers were able to communicate the message
of Blood Donation Camp appreciated the whole effort. Saints
from all the age groups participated ranging from 1year old
to 80 years.

People were asking if these
senior citizens can’t donate blood why are they walking in
this march. On this, saints replied; all humans are blood
brothers. Blood donation is a true proof of human oneness
and cosmic unity. It is through the spiritual awakening that
we realize that everyone is to live for everyone else. If we
can’t then why you all come forward and make a difference.
