On the 29th January 2009, members of the Sant Nirankari Mission West Midlands Branch met with the Right Honourable Jaqui Smith, Home Secretary of the United Kingdom, at the First ever Asian Governmental Dinner which was held at the New Bingley Hall, Birmingham.

The Delegation led by Rev. Sukhjinder Singh and Rev. H.S. Upashak Ji together with other local committee members, were able to briefly interact with the Home Secretary and discuss the work of the Mission in its centres across the Globe.

The Home Secretary was pleased to hear about the work of His Holiness Nirankari Baba Ji to promote peace and harmony through all its centres around the world, which is in line with governmental policy to create community cohesion. It is clear that the Mission is achieving this end will always play a positive role in society and through these talks, this commitment and drive was re-invigorated
