Mother’s Day is a special occasion
which is dedicated to all the mothers in the world and
celebrated worldwide. On this blessed occasion, under the
guidance of local Parmukh Rev Jawahar Singh Ji, Sant
Nirankari Bhawan Bradford also celebrated Mother’s Day on
22nd March 2009. All the youngsters showed respect to their
mothers by presenting them with flowers and singing a medley
of upbeat, loving songs.

The Samagam was presided over by Rev
H.S. Upashak Ji who specially travelled from Birmingham to
bless the congregation. In his discourse, he reminded all
the youngsters about their duties towards their elders in
all aspects of life, going on to explain to all the children
and youngsters, to always respect their parents and elders
as a child can never repay a mother’s love even if he had
all the money in the world. He said, “When you see Pujya
Mata Ji and Pujya Rajmata Ji and show them love and respect,
you should also see them in your mother at home.

Until we are not doing this, then we
are not respecting them like our heavenly mothers. We can
seek blessings from His Holiness only if we have respect for
our elders too.” He added that spirituality does not mean
performing certain rituals but it starts at home, in our
daily life around how we treat our elders.
The youngsters relished the
opportunity to understand that we need to have love and
respect for our mothers, not only on this occasion but in
everyday of our life, as this is His Holinesses message.
