The last Monday of May is traditionally a
public holiday in the United Kingdom. This year devotees of
SNM UK felt that the best way to spend this time would be to
practically work for the welfare of humanity.
With the divine grace of Satguru Baba
Hardev Singh Ji over 60 devotees from various SNM UK
branches came together on the 25th of May 2009, to take part
in a National BUPA 10,000 running event.

Brothers and sisters of all ages
gathered from London, Ilford, Erith, Oxford, Leicester, West
Midlands, Yorkshire, Glasgow, Dubai and even various parts
of India and took part in this united effort whilst wearing
SNM attire which read – Sant Nirankari Mission, We Stand For
World Peace and Unity.
A lot of devotees had trained
tirelessly for this event and in the process raised
sponsorship money for the Nirankari Advice Centre, British
Heart Foundation, Cancer Research and Huntington Disease
Association amongst others.
Whilst speaking to the devotees taking
part, it seemed that some of them had gone to great lengths
to participate in this event. Some devotees travelled over
night for 8 hours from neighbouring country Scotland.
When asked why they were so keen to
partake in such activities they replied by saying that their
inspiration was Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji who
continuously works for the welfare of humanity regardless of
the time of day.
