12th March 2009: SNM Yorkshire Bhawan was
pleased to play host to a group of special needs children
from Chapel Grange School (a co-educational secondary
special school for students aged 11-19 with a range of
severe and moderate learning difficulties, including
additional complex needs and autism).
Sister Mindo Ji (Teaching Support
assistant) had arranged for a class of special needs
children together with their teacher Chris Davis and
assistants Julie and Pauline to attend the Bhawan, where
they were welcomed by a delegation of saints and volunteers
led by local committee member Rev Atma Ram Ji.

The children were shown around the
centre; before being seated and served by SNM Yorkshire
volunteers with light refreshments, Indian snacks, tea and
juice. From the interaction with the SNM volunteers to
eating the delicious Indian snacks and refreshments, the
children thoroughly enjoyed their day out at the Bhawan.

The group were given a guided tour and
shown past events held at the Bhawan, which exposed the
Nirankari Mission to the wider local community through
charity and musical Sangeet events. The group was also
introduced to the ideals and philosophy of the Nirankari
Mission and His Holiness' vision of world peace and unity;
through love and compassion for fellow man irrespective of
cast, colour or creed.

Staff members of the group
acknowledged and echoed the sentiments of the Nirankari
Mission and were interested to comeback and learn more; they
thanked ALL involved for the friendly welcome and
hospitality and expressed interest in participating in
future SNM organized events.
