Enthusiasm Marks Various Social Welfare Activities of The Nirankaris





Overwhelming enthusiasm was observed at various social
welfare activities organized by the Sant Nirankari Mandal,
Mumbai Branch viz. Blood donation drive (5th phase), cleanliness
drive at K.E.M. Hospital and assisting local authorities during
Anant Chaturdashi Celebrations.
Blood Donation (5th phase):
The 5th phase of the blood donation drive was completed on
26th September, 2010 with three camps at Khindipada (Bhandup),
Dharavi and Sathe Nagar (Airoli-Navi Mumbai). Total of 348
Nirankari devotees donated blood in the service of humanity.
Dr.Sanjay Sali, Incharge, M.T.Agarwal Blood Bank, Mulund
inaugurated the camp at Khindipada (Bhandup) and collected 158
units.
Dharavi saw 152 volunteers donated blood which were collected
by LTMG Hospital, Sion. The camp was inaugurated by Rev.Hiralal
Yadav, preacher of the mission. Among other dignitaries who were
present on the occasion were local Corporator Shri Hanumanta
Nandpalli and Shri Shankar Sonawane, Kshetriya Sanchalak of
Nirankari Sewa Dal.
At Sathe Nagar, Airoli, Navi Mumbai 38 units were collected
by the NMMC Hospital Blood Bank. The camp was inaugurated by
Shri Balkrishna Patil, Ward Officer, NMMC, Airoli. Shri Madhvi
and Shri Vitavkar, Ward Officers of NMMC were also present on
the occasion. Due to extensive heat the camp was stopped at 12
noon and postponed.
Since April 2010, 23 blood donation camps have been organized
and a total of 3702 units have been collected. More such camps
are planned till December, 2010.
Cleanliness Drive:
Around 150 Nirankari Sewa Dal Volunteers (ladies & gents)
participated in a cleanliness drive in K.E.M.Hospital on 19th
September in the presence of Dr.S.N.Oak, (Director) and
Dr.N.D.Bhosale (Dy.Dean) of K.E.M.Hospital. These volunteers
cleaned the hospital premises thereby extending their
contribution in the cleanliness drive.
Assisting Local Authorities for Anant Chaturdashi
Celebrations:
Impressed by the disciplined Nirankari Sewa Dal, as exhibited
during the conduct of huge congregations at prominent places
with least burden on administration authorities, made the local
municipal and police authorities at various places including
Goregaon, Malad, Marve (Madh), Gorai, Vile Parle, Santacruz
Airport, Airoli, Dadar to beckon our services. More than 500
Nirankari Sewa Dal volunteers helped the local authorities in
controlling traffic and monitoring the immersion activities on
5th, 7th and 11th day of Ganpati immersion.
A ‘Piao’ next to Chitra Cinema, Dadar was also put in service
of the Ganesh Bhaktas by the Volunteers of Nirankari Sewa Dal
Unit No.207on the day of Ganpati Immersion on 22nd September.
Shri Kalidas Kolambkar, MLA and Shri Sunil More, Corporator
visited and graced the occasion.
