Regional English Medium Samagam held in Yorkshire Nirankari
Bhawan
With the benign blessings of HH; On Sunday
10th October 2010 a regional English Medium Samagam was held
in Yorkshire Nirankari Bhawan. It was truly a spiritually
uplifting event where saints from across the country came
along and poured into the local hall to sing praise and
glorify the name of this Almighty God.
Invited special
guests, friends and saints had travelled especially making
the journey from London, West Midlands, Oxford, Leicester,
Stoke-on-Trent, Glasgow and various other towns. Also,
representing the Thornbury Methodist Church, Mrs
Awais Mughal was warmly welcomed by local committee member Rev
Kulbinder Saandal Ji. Local Parmukh, Rev Jawahar Singh Ji
welcomed all to the Yorkshire Nirankari Bhawan and congratulated
them for uniting to celebrate the Nirankari Mission’s message of
Oneness through the essence of Truthful Living.
The speakers contributed through inspiring poems, songs and
with profound words of wisdom. Each and every one shared their
experiences of spirituality and the need of it in today’s
society. Whether we talk about our personal, professional or
social duties, all of us need an understanding that can keep
these worldly duties in balance, hence we can realise the value
of the time we have here in this life and how to spend it.
As the first song set the blissful scene, the samagam
unfolded like two wings. There on it was a flow of continuous
interest of those that spoke. The Sant Nirankari Mission
greatly emphasises on the practical living under the guidance
and teaching of the Lord Master Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji.
His message of self-realisation through God realisation, is not
a new sect or religion but is based upon the fundamental
principle of Universal Brotherhood. Without this concept of the
truth one can be lead to confusion and misunderstanding and that
is why working in union with one another plays an important part
in all our lives. All the speakers emphasised on the word of
‘spirituality’ in many forms whether this be devotion, truth and
truthful living, faith, humanity, love, peaceful co-existence.
In today’s age and world, the realistic peaceful message of
love and respect is given out by Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji
i.e. “religion unites and never divides”. The spiritual
heritage of our world lies in the divine works such as the Holy
Koran, Holy Bible, Bhagavad Gita and the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
They are a gift teaching us how to be humble and wise beings.
Each and every topic in this holy congregation was about mutual
respect and appreciation which allows us all to profit from the
fruit of all spiritual traditions.
The spiritual gathering on this day was for one and all to
come along and share not only their views and experiences but to
take away these words of wisdom and share them with each and all
practically. The essential ingredient of fellow feeling and
fraternity is firmly felt by Nirankari Mission in that unity in
diversity is the way forward for all of us.
Rev Dr Bobby Sura ji from West Midlands presided over the
samagam. In his discourse he said that the spiritual company
beautifies and purifies the mind. It unites us as one family
which the world had failed to adhere to. People in the world
follow the saints and prophets but have ignored their message of
Love and Oneness. The ultimate Truth always remains unchanged
and has same significance in today’s modern multicultural
society. This Truth is everlasting from which everything has
been made and to which everything will merge. Truth and Truthful
Living go side by side and living in a modern and multi-cultural
society, one need to know the truth to be able to live
truthfully.
