To remember all those who lost their lives in recent
floods in Pakistan and to raise money for various charities,
the Yorkshire Nirankari Volunteers organised a two day
Charity Car Wash and Summer Fun Fair in Bradford Nirankari
Bhawan.
On both days Saturday, 4th September and Sunday 5th
September 2010, people from local congregation, different
walks of life and the local community came together to raise
money and show how different communities can come together
to raise awareness and donations for the unfortunate, in the
name of Humanity.

Local Parmukh Rev Jawahar Singh Ji, along with other
committee members and the sadhsangat inaugurated the event with
loud slogans of “God is One”, “We stand for World Peace and
Unity”.
Throughout the days, people from the local community kept the
volunteers busy at their various stalls and gave money
generously for charity. The atmosphere at the event was very
pleasant and was complimented by all with selfless service.

The various activities included Carwash, Raffles, selling
cards and games, Drinks Stall, English & ethnic Food stall,
Cakes and Buns, guess the sweets competition, Tombola, Books
Stall, Clothes and jewellery stall, Mehandi Stall and various
other fun activities. All the money raised will be donated to
various charities including for Pakistan Floods Relief and SNM.
It was a great event where local people had an insight to the
mission’s philosophy of Universal Brotherhood and Oneness. Many
praised the mission for its work in bringing all communities
together under one roof and promoting working together for
humanity.
