Conference on Morality, Universal Culture and Modern Spirituality

The 30 March 2008 brought to the West Midlands Satsang Bhawan a National Conference on Morality, Universal Culture and Modern Spirituality. All the attendees were welcomed and offered breakfast, prior to the commencement of the event at 11am. Speakers, Poets and Singers were required to contribute in a defined order and adhere to the chosen topics for discussion. There was a complete age range of contributors including men and ladies. Key note speakers captured the minds of the listeners and were magnificent in the expression thoughts concerning the eternal truth. Much was gained during the course of the conference and invited guests felt impressed by the depth of knowledge and wisdom experienced.

During the course, the Birmingham Choir lifted the audience with a rapturous performance and the young devotees performed skits illustrating the teachings of His Holiness Baba Ji in short form. This artistic effort must be appreciated. The chairperson was Sister Neeru Bhel of Toronto who eloquently discussed the subject of truth and truthful living. Stage Secretary was Sister Roop Bhamra. The event was concluded with the service of Lunch and appreciation from all participants. To mark this occasion a clothing collection for the British Red Cross had also been organised for charity and appropriate stands placed at the Bhawan.

The successful efforts of the regional teams must be noted which has been a result a co-ordinated meeting held at the West Midlands Bhawan on the 29th in which there was much discussion on how to take the message of the mission forward in a constructive manner. Universal Target the Missions Quarterly English Journal was also released on the occasion of this conference.

In totality the Youth of the Mission took away a great deal and there devotional fabric has indeed been enriched by this event. We pray to His Holiness for strength to continue this positive movement.
