GURU POOJA DIVAS CELEBRATED IN CANADA

The Sant Nirankari Mission in Canada celebrated 54th Birthday of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, in form of “Guru Pooja Divas”. In this regard, special Samagams were held in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and in Vancouver. In Toronto H.Q, the Samagam started with a Sewa Dal Rally. In this Sewa Dal Rally all the Sewa Dal Volunteers participated. Apart from exercises, a splendid marching parade was performed. After all the Sewa Dal drill, a collection of donation, gathered by volunteers themselves, was handed over to B.S Parduman Singh Ji (the local Parmukh), as a gesture of ‘Collective Namaskar’ in the Holy Feet of Baba Ji. Later, B.S. Parduman Singh Ji, blessed the Sewa Dal volunteers. In his Vichar, first of all he thanked Nirankar that we are living our lives in the presence of Holy Master Ba ba Hardev Singh Ji. We all are lucky that we have the privilege of celebrating the birthday of the present Holy Master. W e are fortunate enough that we have been given “God Knowledge” even in the present age, the age which is termed as “Kalyug”. He guided all the Sewa Dal volunteers to perform their duties ‘fully’ with due diligence, but by remaining within the guidelines (Hukam) of Satguru Baba Ji. Only then the concept of Selfless Sewa is achieved, as Bhakat (Devotee) Hanuman Ji did during Lord Ram Ji’s time.

Later, a special congregation of “Guru Pooja Divas” was held in the main hall of Toronto Nirankari Bhawan. Attendance of Saints was tremendous. Congregation Hall was nicely decorated. Children also were full of joy in a festive atmosphere. Saints specially participated from surrounding locations like Ba rrie, Hamilton, Windsor and Rochester. In a group young saints sang the songs of Divine praise. Some other saints also spoke that it is a “Special Day” to express our thanks to all the “Holy Masters and the saints” of past and present, who have had glorified this Earth with the Devine Knowledge and “Guru Pooja Divas” is kept especially for this purpose. That’s why it should be celebrated as a festival. This day, saints are trying to express their gratitude and submission towards Baba Hardev Singh Ji, who is putting his efforts to bring peace and unity to this world. Today, Kavi Darbar (poem recitation) was also a highlight event of the congregation. In the end and before the Langar, the recorded message of Baba Ji was played. Baba Ji in a very light mood said that each year, once the month of February starts, the birthday celebrations also start. It is their Shardha (Devotion). One never gets old if there is motivation and encouragement in life. Baba Ji said that saint’s happiness is his happiness. The birthday celebration by the saints is a symbol of their devotion.
