REV BHAGWANT KAUR JI BREATHES HER LAST

Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji w/o Late Rev Joginder Singh Ji ‘Noor’ passed into her eternal abode while in a hospital in Delhi at about  6.00 a.m. on February 20, 2008.   She was 64.

Popularly known as ‘Guddi Chachi’, Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji was born on December 15, 1943 in the family of Babu Mahadev Singh Ji and Agya Mata Ji.  Since the family was quite close to Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji, the child Bhagwant grew up in a perfect spiritual environment.  No wonder, Shahenshah Ji selected her as bride for his own son Rev J.S. ‘Noor’.  They were married on October 31, 1960.  As we all know, Babu Mahadev Singh Ji was one of the first seven members (Seven Stars) of the Executive Committee of the Sant Nirankari Mandal.

The matrimonial relation with Guru Pariwar made Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji all the more active in the Mission and its activities.   She worked shoulder to shoulder with Rev ‘Noor’ Sahib till he merged into his eternal abode on November 26, 2006.  Even thereafter, she was attending congregations and taking this voice of truth forward in her own humble way.

Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji was last admitted to hospital on February 19, 2008.  His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj who was returning to Delhi after a month long salvation tour, went straight to see her in hospital in the early hours of February 20.  He was accompanied by Pujya Mata Ji also.

Baba Ji, Rev Nirankari Rajmata Ji and Pujya Mata Ji joined the family in the last journey and the cremation ceremony of Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji at the Electric Crematorium.

Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji is survived by two sons - Sharan ‘Noor’ and Narender Pal ‘Noor’ and daughter Naveen married to Rev Dharam Verma (Delhi).  Her brother Rev Gobind Singh Ji is the Member Incharge Publications, Sant Nirankari Mission Annarbor (Michigan) in USA.

A special congregation to pay tributes to Rev Bhagwant Kaur Ji is scheduled to be held in Delhi from 12.00 noon to 2.00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008 in the benign presence of His Holiness, Rev Nirankari Rajmata Ji and Pujya Mata Ji.
