Seminar on Relevance of Spirituality in the 21st Century Organized in Agra A seminar on Relevance of Spirituality in 21st Century was held in Agra on October 4, 2008 which was inaugurated by the Mayor of Agra, Smt. Anjula Singh Mahor by lighting the lamp. In her inaugural address Smt. Mahor said India was a spiritually dominated country whose sages and saints preached unity among human beings. In this context Sant Nirankari Mission is doing a laudable work. Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Khawaja Iftikhar Ahmed, President Interfaith Harmony Foundation of India highly accentuated the values preached by the mission - universal brotherhood and peace. He deserved that the Mission is by far the most accommodating platform. It values the views of others in addition to its own teachings. Rev. Maj (Retd) J D Sharma promoted the Universal brotherhood motto of His Holiness Baba Ji and said Baba Ji is converting humanity and changing people divided over petty issues into saints who spread love and make the world a better place to live. Shri Rakesh Joshi, focused on the need of steady progress. Shri Ram Kumar Sewak, Editor of the Spiritual Magazine “Sant Nirankari” (Hindi) observed that today’s religion seems to have distanced from spiritualism as a result of which enmity, tension and violence are reigning supreme in the name of religion. Shri S.C. Bhalla thanked the worthy speakers and the audience who came in numbers and were sitting spell bound throughout the seminar. * * * |
